Vertec Introduction

"FAW VERTEC" is 100% electric-supplied and "quiet enough, steady enough, enough power". It is different from diesel or hybrid trucks. Since pure electric trucks do not emit air pollutants caused by the burning of fossil fuels during its runnin, it is unnecessary to install exhaust hoses on trucks. VERTEC has zero roadside emissions, which are the real solution to curb roadside air pollution. The noise generated by the electric motor is lower than the engine, which greatly reduces the road noise problem. The residents is no longer affected by directly roadside exhaust and noise while going through the neighborhood, thereby, they possess fresher and quieter environment.

Integrated Power Control Unit

Introduction

The integrated power control unit (IPU) is a kind of aluminum alloy box with driving motor controller, vehicle-charger, DCDC and smart high voltage box as its core. Its circuit structure is designed in a unified way. The driving unit, control unit and heat dissipation system realize multi-functional integration, reducing cost, improving reliability and facilitating its layout.

 

Technical Highlights

Using mainstream DSP from TI as primary control chip, a good motor control algorithm platform has been established. The advanced vector control algorithm has been adopted to realize various protection of the controller for precise control of motor torque and rotational speed that the reliability of the system can be  improved, the control parameters can be flexibly adjusted, and the maneuverability of the vehicle cab be adjusted, to meet the requirements of different road conditions and various operating environments. The use of internationally renowned IGBT module realizes the integrated design of energy conversion with high efficiency, which greatly reduces the cost, simplifies the layout of vehicle chargers with high power factor, small harmonic component and high efficiency.
